CH Trailwind Bound To Be Trouble CDX RE MH AX OAJ

– Bounder –
Owned by Randy Capsel and Cheryl L. Clark

Bounder has been a happy-go-bury dog his entire life. The funning comment about Bounder was the when he was born his tail was already wagging and has never stopped since then. While that may seem a sort of joke. It was the first thing that was noticeable about him as soon as he was dried off and on his way in life. His tail truly was wagging just alter birth and never seemed to stop. That had to mean this was going to be an exuberant and happy boy, and that has held true throughout the years.

Bounder showed great joy and enthusiasm in everything he did from an early age. Along with that came little fear in trying something new. As a young puppy he was the first to come running across the yard and suddenly launch himself into the wading pool while his littermates were still at the stage slowly sliding over the edge of the pool into the shallow water. This should have been a good clue as to his enthusiasm for water. This became more evident when Bounder was not quite so months old and was on a boat trip through a marsh scouting tor the upcoming early duck season. As he watched the water in the narrow entry channel go by the boat, he suddenly decided that looked like great fun down there in the marsh and promptly launched himself over the boat’s edge and into the water. Not deterred in any fashion he calmly began swimming beside the boat, enjoying himself greatly. Needless to say, Bounder has been a fantastic water dog over the years, never shying away from any challenge which has come about with water retrieves and tasks over the years.

Bounder greatly enjoys all the different training aspects, but like his mother Faith seems to enjoy field work and obedience the greatest His attitude has made training and working with Bounder in many different venues effortless at times. Not to say that any of his accomplishments came easy, but his ability to learn quickly and go about things in such an enthusiastic manner makes training fun and a laughing matter at times. Being so happy can lead to some really goofy times and that is when you just look at the moment and say “that is just Bounder”.

It is wonderful to know that Bounder and his mother Faith are the first dam/offspring combination to both earn champion and master hunting titles. Versatility is most truly defined when the qualities of versatility can be shown to be passed to offspring in addition to being exhibited in an individual dog.

Not only does Bounder possess versatile abilities, his temperament is an added attribute which makes him a joy to be around everyday. He can be playing with a puppy one moment and then be around a mix of intact males and bitches during time out and about without concern he will pay any attention as to the company surrounding him. To him everyone and every dog is a friend.

Bounder loves to sit in your lap and tell you long stories through different grunts, groans, choring whining and “happy growls”. But make a move toward the door and he is up and about, ready to head on out and participate in anything asked of him. Bounder encompasses, in a wonderful fashion, the versatility described within the breed standard of the English Springer Spaniel.
