In the summer of 2006 I visited Watterbargers in the Seattle area to look at their 10 -week old puppies. Suddenly, a black and white boy sailed through the air towards a live pigeon, caught it and brought it to me. At that moment I knew that Wrigley was the dog for us.
Hunting came very naturally to him and we soon found out that he also loved agility and obedience. In each of his first four years he was an ESSFTA multi-titlist recipient. Tim and I never really thought about obtaining his VS award; it simply happened. The final piece of the puzzle came when he received his Championship at the Land ‘O Lakes show in January 2010. Looking back on it now, earning this award does not surprise us as it seems to run in his genes as this award was also obtained by his sire, Canvas, and grand-sire, Colours.
Wrigley is full of enthusiasm and lives in the present moment no matter what activity he is involved in, even if it is simply chasing critters out of his yard or going for a walk. He always has fun and he makes sure that we do too. We are truly blessed to have this boy as a part of our family as he enriches our lives every day!
